No Matter What or When

Updated: Aug 21, 2021

Recently, I found myself a little anxious before my prayer time, however, the Holy Spirit reminded me that although I’m living in unprecedented and uncertain times, I must remain stable and fully persuaded in my faith. No matter what or when things are happening. The Holy Spirit comforted me to remember that God is Sovereign in every season and at all times. I also felt my faith being stirred when I remembered that my parents and forefathers also lived through ‘unprecedented and uncertain times.’ Faith enables me to trust God with complete confidence. Yes, I prayerfully trust in the efficacy of the medical professionals concerning vaccines, treatments and medications. I pray for elected officials and governmental leaders to make the right decisions, but I must continue to obey the Word and pray for those who have rule over me. I have to trust in many things just to make it through my day, including that people in the other vehicles are going to obey the traffic signals and signs to avoid calamity. I have to trust that the food I’m purchasing is safe to eat. With so much turmoil happening in our country and abroad, I believe I can only live in perfect peace if I choose to keep my mind on and trust in God no matter what (Isaiah 26:3). I have learned that if I always put my trust in other people, someone will let me down. I have learned that if I always trust in what I hear from people, information sources, media and social media platforms, I run the risk of being misled and misinformed. I have learned that I must actively and daily search out the truth in God’s Word and put my trust in God. I have no reason to stay awake, anxious and worried. God is always awake. He does not dose off. He can be trusted no matter what and no matter when. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Nothing I’m facing is new to Him. Nothing I need is beyond His ability to supply. Whether the need is physical, spiritual, mental, emotional, financial, relational - whatever it is, the God I serve can give me exactly what I am lacking, or He can connect me with the resources available to help me. There is NOTHING too hard for Him. He is El-Elyon (Most High God), El-Shaddai (the All Sufficient One), Jehovah-Jireh (the Lord who provides), Jehovah-Rapha (the Lord who heals), Jehovah-Rohi (the Lord is my Shepherd), Jehovah-Shalom (the Lord is peace), Jehovah-Shammah (Who will never leave or forsake me). He is all of these and more, and He is able to do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams] (Ephesians 3:20 Amplified). All I have to do is trust Him, and because I have Him, I am NEVER, EVER alone. No matter what comes our way, we can trust God no matter what or when. I'm praying for you!
